Project Discovery

Begin Your Design System Journey with a Clear Roadmap

Our project intake process transforms scattered requirements into a cohesive action plan. Whether you're modernizing a legacy CMS, unifying fragmented design patterns, or building accessible components from scratch, we start with a structured discovery that sets the foundation for success.

Structured Discovery

A comprehensive intake process ensures we capture all technical requirements, stakeholder needs, and project constraints before beginning work.

Transparent Scoping

Receive detailed project phases, timelines, and pricing based on your specific needs, with no hidden costs or surprise requirements.

Collaborative Planning

Work directly with Jared to map dependencies, identify quick wins, and prioritize features that deliver immediate value.

What to Expect During Intake

The intake process is designed to extract the signal from the noise. Many teams come to us with a tangle of legacy systems, competing stakeholder priorities, and technical debt that's accumulated over years. Our structured approach helps us understand not just what you want to build, but why it matters to your organization and users.

We begin with a detailed questionnaire covering your current tech stack, content authoring workflow, accessibility requirements, and performance goals. This pre-discovery homework ensures our first conversation is focused on strategy rather than basic logistics. You'll share existing design files, URLs to problem pages, and examples of patterns that work well or need improvement.

During the 45-minute discovery call, we walk through your responses together. Expect screen shares, quick prototypes sketched in Figma, and honest discussions about what's feasible within your timeline and budget. We identify dependencies between features, flag potential technical risks, and prioritize deliverables based on user impact and organizational readiness.

After the call, you receive a phased proposal outlining specific deliverables, timelines, and pricing for each stage. This modular approach lets you start with a pilot component library or accessibility audit, then expand into full CMS integration or performance optimization as results demonstrate value. No long-term commitments, just clear next steps.

From Intake to Launch

1. Pre-Discovery Questionnaire

Complete a detailed intake form covering technical stack, pain points, and project goals. Share design files, current site URLs, and examples of desired outcomes.

2. Discovery Call & Screen Share

45-minute collaborative session reviewing your responses, exploring technical constraints, and sketching potential solutions. We prioritize features and identify quick wins.

3. Phased Proposal & Roadmap

Receive a detailed proposal with modular phases, specific deliverables, transparent pricing, and recommended timelines. Start small or commit to a full transformation.

4. Design, Build & Iterate

Weekly check-ins, Loom updates, and Figma prototypes keep you in the loop. We ship working increments every two weeks and adjust based on feedback and evolving priorities.
