Career Journey

From prep cook to principal: A timeline of craft and code

My career path wasn't linear; it zigzagged from professional kitchens to freelance web development, through enterprise leadership roles at Tableau, Salesforce, and Veeva, and ultimately to founding Stoneberg Design. But the through-line is consistent: obsessive attention to detail, systems thinking, and a commitment to craft.

Worked as prep cook, line cook, and sous chef across fine dining, catering, and institutional kitchens. Learned discipline, timing, and the importance of mise en place, skills that would later define my approach to web development.
